Okayz, i have 2 questions.

I don't really know what type of animê you're into (but since you watched death note you like stories with good plots!)

Hetalia:
Ever wonder what the country's of the world would look like as humans? Well look no further; for hetalia - axis powers is here! hetalia - axis powers is a comedy animê that takes events from history and showed how they "actually happened"
And to awnser your segundo question. Yes magna is the books and animê is the cartoon. And if it helps you to memorize animê is just short for Animation. Well I hope this helps ^^

In my opinion, Ouran High School Host Club and Lucky estrela are good animê series. But since you like Death Note, you may be a person into something like Soul Eater or Inuyasha. mangá is the comic books that you read from right to left and animê is the show. Most animê are based on the manga.

but first: the difference between mangá and animê is that there are some things in the mangá that cannot be found in the anime.

try watching code geass. its like death note but cooler! xD (for me)
there's also vampire knight, maid sama, shakugan no shana. etc

the Animes I personally like are Axis Powers Hetalia, kuroshitsuji and Ouran High School Host Club. The ones with the same or alike genres with Death Note is Kuroshitsuji, Soul Eater, Bleach and Hitman Reborn. Try those first.

mangá is the book that you read from left to right. Like the typical book, but you read it backwards. mangá is usually the origin of the animê version you watch. The animê usually changes some parts of the mangá so I suggest you read the mangá first.

animê is short for the word Animation. So basically for it to be Anime, it needs to have at least one shot of Animation. As long as it has Animation, it is called an animê for the Japanese.

I amor death note too it's pretty good and has a good plot. So does vampire knight it has ALOT of action and romance. Also naruto is good but it is very common Also animê is like the shows on tv and mangá is the books
