Have you ever cried, or, at least, had to wipe tears from your eyes from an anime?

(Yes, I will admit it... It happened during the near-ending of Shuffle, the end of Cowboy Bebop and the ending of angel Beats... Anyway, I don't really care - It isn't that embarrassing.)

Any good series that has shown a decent concept of how to do death has gotten me to tear up, though I'd say there are some that have done a better job. Fate Zero had a fantastic scene that was so beautifully rendered and so tragic that I couldn't help myself. I actually thought the saddest scene in Cowboy Bebop was Julia's death since it was so unexpected. Code Geass had a couple of eminently tragic deaths, most notably Shirley's. I'll admit, Jiraiya's death in naruto also got to me.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I agree Julia's death was sad, too. I even felt pretty sad when Ed left the Bebop crew to go live with her dad. I need to watch Code Geass and then I'll understand what you mean... And the same with Naruto. XD

Yes! I cried when Piccolo first died in DBZ (I was like 10-11) and lost it at Bye Bye Buttterfree (Pokemon and to this dia I will not watch that episode). The most I cried was at the last couple episodes of Fruits Basket (So many feels from that) and I cried a tiny bit at one Bleach episode. I've teared up mais than cried at some animê I've watched though. I'm alittle sensitive so I tend to tear up at touching moments~

Bye Bye Butterfree... I remember that episode... It WAS sad. I'm pretty sure I cried. I was 9 or 10. I felt sad during Gin's death in Bleach - I was pretty wet-eyed.

The two animê that affected me the most were Clannad and Higurashi. Clannad made me tear up in several areas, especially after-story. And then the nostalgia...so well done. As for Higurashi...well, I was a bit younger at the time and I'll admit that it terrified me in in most episodes. The thrill of the fear made me watch the entire thing--also well done, but very...harsh, I suppose is the word. I've teared up then, too, but for different reasons.

Aside from that, there are only scenes where I've choked up a little. The moment in the fairy tail mangá where we were reminded of epicness of titania as she defeated 100 monsters alone, for instance. One Piece's various back stories and emotional moments, particularly that moment where they refused to give Luffy to Kuma on Thriller Bark. The scene in Psycho Pass where Akane's friend is killed so simply right in front of her, mocking the societal system that Akane worked so hard to uphold. *cough* FE13 during Midmire, chapter 10 after Emmeryn commits suicide and you're forced to kill Mustafa *cough* that sort of thing.

...

...Mustafa...WHY?!

I started watching Clannad, but Haven't finished watching - I only got like two episodes in, anyway. I want to watch Higurashi as well - I've heard a lot of people say that it is really good.

It's weird. I don't cry when a character I adore dies, but when a aleatório kitten dies I can't seem to stop the tears rolling. O_o
