Well, it's become a tough call. I say that because my favorito novel series just ended, and the ending, while good, has forced me to rethink the order of my favorites.
My topo, início 4 are easy enough to define. The Mistborn Trilogy por Brandon Sanderson is an amazing piece of work with tremendous attention to detail when it comes to explaining the magic and how it functions. The Wheel of Time por Robert Jordan (and Brandon Sanderson for the last 3 books) is por far the longest I've read (at 14 whopping books), but is a phenomenal series with the most character depth I've ever seen and an epic storyline. The Song of Ice and fogo series por George R. R. Martin is fantastic, though I'd probably place it in the bottom spot due to the recent books not being quite as good as the first 3. I've also loved the Old Kingdom Trilogy por Garth Nix, which is great on so many levels due to its incredible scenes and intense characters.
Each of them has had their strengths and weaknesses, and the mais I've thought out it, the less I know which is best. If I'm looking at the whole, despite some misgivings with the ending, I still loved the Wheel of Time. It's just an incredible adventure, one that puts the Lord of the Rings to shame in my opinion.
