Hi,
Just a couple of comments on the artigo in the título block:
It's refreshing to see a celebrity express an honest opinion.
1. It nice to see the "racist" issue addressed head on. Racism is being used as escapegoat and the media, who no longer provides objective, non-baised reporting should stand up and accept the responsbility for contributing to this. They are as much as fault with the direction this country has taken as the self-centered political parties which care mais about their political interests than focusing on what is BEST for the Country/Economy.
During the election Obama asked to keep his familty out of the limelight and the media complied; conversly, Ms. Palin was sought after, lied about and events of her life were purposely mis-stated and the media, once again, is culpable. You wonder why people ask me why I don't have cable TV, Sat TV or even watch TV any longer? I respond, don't ask me, ask the media!
The last incident that I can recall that had objective oversight and reporting was "Watergate." What has happen to the industry call "NEWS"? Are there no members with credibility, honestly and intgrety?
Lastly, what is wrong with voicing an opinion with a person of color? Nothing! Don't let the media become involved, if they do, they will twist it, taint it and provide misleading information.
How is it four Oakland Police Officer's can be killed por an Afician-American and there is so message from Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. Then, 60 African American's marched and rallied in Oakland on Wednesday to condemn the police and honor Lovelle Mixon, who was killed por Oakland police after he fatally shot four officers Saturday. Yet,if the reverse were to happen a riot would have ensued because whites are racist.
It's time for a change and having people take the issues to task instead of side-stepping this progress.
Good for you Ms. Harmon telling the media up front!
Regards,
Chuck
