It was one of the four fist civilisations along with the Indus, Mesopotamia and China. All originated through the access of the great rivers for irrigational needs
Without a large water supply, civilations just can't grow to fit their needs, so if the Nile didn't exist, then the cities around would not even be there. No water, no food, no large cities.
What about what happened away from the river? the great battles, the cities, the people. Yes the nile was important, but it is not the only reason we remember the Egyptians
it may not be the only reason but its one of the biggest they are wre they are because they have water and a type of transporation and food and basicly everything.
supplies for thier needs such as limestone for statues
