I took Humphrey deep into the mountains and found the most quiet, yet beautiful place to grace Jasper. We sat atop an large cliff overlooking the rest of the park, all the mountains, all the little creeks. Meadows filled with the melting snow, small flores beginning to peak up, despretely seeking the sun. We marveled at the conifer trees as well, a shining pillar of strength that refused to bow, even to the might of winter.
We just sat there, at this moment there was no need for words, we let the scenery around us speak.
"All matter is just a form of energy condensed into a slow vibration and flows in a cycle. The cycle is also know as the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. The amount of energy is never increased or decreased as it moves along in this cycle. In this cycle the energy flows as if in a river, twisting and turning as it makes its way through. However I was taught por some helpful artic foxes a way to minipulate that energy to do as I please and change the course of the river so to speak."
"Why have you brought me here?"
"We are all one consiousness experiencing itself subjectively, thus there is no such thing as death, and life is just a dream. We are the imagination of ourselves."
"You just contridicted yourself."
"No I was explaining to you the cycle, but let me be mais clear. We are all connected, you, me, that tree, the flowers, everything is one and we are all. The only seperation exists through the mind. Death is just the energy moving along to a new form."
"Why do I need to now this?
"Because im going to teach you to minipulate that energy like I do."
Just then, a huge, muscled black wolf, stalked his way out of the woods behind us.
Humphrey jumped up and growled at this wolf, "Alec careful this is the son of the leader of a rival pack."
I glanced at the wolf, "Oh good, a fine example."
The Black lobo chuckled, "Oh you are a cocky one, but now you are on our territory and are going to die."
Humphrey looked at me desperatly, "Alec do something!"
I stood up and stretched, "Humphrey stop your whining, its undignified."
"Alright," I said to the Black Wolf, "lets see your big bad self."
The Black lobo snarled at the taunt and charged.
He was considerably larger than I, yet he moved with a grace that identified his fighting abillity be higher than Garth's and Humphrey's.
He swung at my head, but he left no openings in his swings, the were short and controlled.
He might be better than Kate, "this presents a double opportunity," I thought to myself as I danced around his blows to his ever growing frustration.
I could show Humphrey my point and embarress the hulk of a lobo at the same time.
I decided to go on the assualt, no mais toying with him. He no longer interested me as a toy to show Humphrey how to minipulate energy. He now had a larger value as a captive of our pack.
He swung at my left side, and presented an opportunity.
I grabbed his paw and jabbed the fleshy inner part of the bicep, earning a cry of pain.
I dropped his arm and gave two quick jabs to the shoulder joint at the base of his neck. He rolled away to his right to minimize the damage, but I stayed on him raining blow on points that would cause the most pain.
He threw a defensive jab at my neck, but I caught the arm and broke it at the elbow.
He uttered a cry of pain and almost collapesed. I grabbed his tail and the scruff of his neck, spun to get his enormous body moving, and threw him at a large tree.
He hit it with an ear-splitting crack and the árvore slowly toppled backward to land with in an large nuvem of dust.
The lobo lay at the base of the stump, unmoving.
I approached slowly and he raised his head, blood slowly trickling from his mouth.
"You werent even trying that hard, were you?" he coughed.
I shook my head, "Ill admit though, you were very good for you size."
He snorted, "Not good enough."
"Dont worry," called Humphrey with a stunned look on his face, "no one is that good."
After an hora and a half of strenous work, Humphrey and I managed to haul the huge black lobo back to Tony's antro, den to the amazed looks of everyone we passed. When we had set the lobo down, we collapsed off to the side in exhaustion.
Tony had run off to get Winston and the others.
Humphrey and I, had a chance to talk and we both agreed that we were past all old hard feelings, especially now that he was sure I wasnt going to try and steal Kate away from him. Once we started talking, I realized that he was sort of a cool guy.
Garth and Lilly came skidding to a stop in front of Tony's den.
"No way," said Garth, "you really did manage to capture Kent."
"I didnt think anyone was good enough for that, not even you, Alec." said Kate, walking up slowly.
"Dont flatter me," coughed the lobo in the corner, I must have broken some ribs, "He toyed with me the whole time, I didnt even get one blow in."
"In all my life, I have never seen anyone better."
I smiled.
