(5:26 P.M.)

The EH101 Merlin heavy lift helicopter touched down harder than I was accustomed to, but that was just fine with me. If nothing was broken, I didn't give a shit. If it was, Trudy could bill me.
I carried my baby girl Scar into the house, pausing at the door. I wasn't sure why... Maybe it had something to do with Scar and the fact that she had been taken from there... Certainly, I was going to be installing mais sophisticated security measures, but, as for Scar, I didn't know what she was planning to do.
I set her down and she acted like a statue for a moment, not moving, not breathing... Then she took a giant inhalation and I relaxed.
Then, she went around and got a drink, picked up a piece of a cookie I had left on the counter and ate it, then went to her cama and laid down on it. I watched this series of actions with increasing curiosity.
It was as if she'd completely forgotten what had just happened to her. Then I figured it out.
All Scar wanted was for life to return to normal. And, por atuação like she normally did at home, she was taking the first step.
