Depression could cause certain thoughts to enter someone's mind, but if it goes so far as to think of suicide -- whether or not one wants to attempt it -- then I think it's time to see a psychiatrist. Now this isn't always the option, as some of these cases aren't severe, but you should always think ahead of time for it. I suggest that you talk to a counselor at least; you don't want this to get worse. There are some things in here that make me think that you're overreacting a bit. Sorry, I don't want to make this sound rude or anything. I'll level with you: I have these moments too. I think that you're thinking of these things because you're obviously stressed out. Think over what you wrote down: you said that you weren't satisfied with your test grades and your Biology class. I'm having problems in Chemistry myself, but there's something I have to say for that: continue to work hard, always ask questions, get some tutoring if you think you need it, and above all: DON'T PANIC. You can be surprised of how things can turn out, and I learned that several times during the past month. It can be really irritating when one thinks that they can do better when they get a bad grade, but keep the thoughts to yourself for a while. When you get home, talk about it with your parents, sibling(s), and/or friends. Take a breather. I'm sure there are plenty of opportunities to redeem yourself, and I trust that you'll be able to take the chances when it comes. For that guy that you like, don't think so pessimistically. You never know how someone feels about you, and you should always hold your head up high, no matter what the outcome is. Better to prove that you're a stronger person in the world than to be easily downhearted por it. These are everyday challenges that can get us down no problem, but there are times when we have to think to ourselves, "Hey, is it really worth it to feel this bad?" If you're confident enough, I think that you should go up to him and talk to him about how you feel. If you don't think it's time yet, then go with your instincts. Everything takes time and doesn't happen immediately, and it's as they say: patience is a virtue. To recap: calm down, don't stress out, and always think optimistically. If you think that things aren't getting better, you can talk to any of us on here or someone who you think might help you. If your thoughts worsen and/or you think that you might do something bad to yourself or someone else, go on and talk to a counselor or set up an appointment for a psychiatrist/psychologist. (In case you want differences: counselors listen to your problems and discuss with you what you can do to make things better; psychiatrists diagnose things like depression and other problems and are able to administer medicine; psychologists study behavior and could do the same as a counselor, but to a higher degree.) Good luck to you, and feel free to ask any other perguntas that you may have.
