I'm sure that you would agree that $500 is a fair sum of money to spend on a new acoustic guitar. But the good news is that guitars are instruments that mellow nicely as they age over time, so your investment isn't exactly going to dwindle away.

Anyway, after doing a fair bit of research online, and also trying out various modelos in stores, I have come up with a list what what I consider to be some of the best acoustic modelos under $500.

Most guitars mentioned here will be in between 4-5 hundred, but some will be somewhat cheaper (price doesn't always mean quality).
